Training and Support
At AIM Mail Centers we offer an exciting array of training programs, learning modules, support manuals, job aids and other materials to
assist you in your transition to becoming an AIM Mail Centers franchisee. We offer a multi-faceted training strategy which combines printed
workbooks, manuals, classroom instruction, video segments, role-playing and lots of hands-on practice to apply what you are learning.
Whether you are currently a seasoned retail veteran or a professional from a different occupational field we have the program designed to
maximize your talents.
Training
The initial training spans two weeks of intensive interactive learning at our corporate offices in Irvine, CA. This is supplemented
with ongoing training delivered during store visits, online Webinars, local workshops and ongoing remote support from your assigned
Performance Coach. You have access to our online intranet Franchisee Support Site which offers a wealth of knowledge about our business
and our industry. To capitalize on the strength of the brand and the partnerships with our vendors, in-store training is also available
to franchise owners and associates via our vendor community. The training includes topics like day-to-day retail store operations, visual
merchandising, in-store guest services, professional selling skills, building and enhancing your local business-to-business (B2B)
marketing skills, properly using in-store equipment and technology, inventory control, orchestrating pickups and deliveries, managing
logistics and coordinating freight and LTL shipments. In the area of product knowledge, we teach you all about the different types of
products and services we offer our business-to-business (B2B) clients and our retail walk-in customers. A substantial amount of time is
focused on teaching new franchisee operators the exciting PostalMate and CashMate software programs and point-of-sale system. You'll even
receive basic instruction on QuickBooks to assist you in managing your day-to-day expenses and business financials. On the people side of
the business, we offer comprehensive leadership development training that focuses on building your teaching, coaching, motivating, delegating
and empowering skills. We teach you how to be a more flexible and inspiring leader and team builder. Our employee selection training focuses
on how to effectively, source, assess, evaluate and hire the right people to help you run your business. We mix in basic human resources
guidelines training and it all adds up to a comprehensive program that can be customized on an ongoing basis following the initial franchisee
training based on your prior experience level and individual development needs. So there you have it, a structured, yet flexible modular
training and development strategy that allow us to partner with you in designing just the right curriculum and skill-building activities to
help you become an AIM Mail Center franchisee.
Operations Support
Our Operations Support team's focus is to provide franchise owners with remote and in-store support (during periodic store visits) to assist
new franchise owners as they are transitioning into this business as well as provide ongoing operations support to existing franchise owners.
We accomplish this by spending time with new franchise owners, onsite at your new store as you are executing your soft-opening period or during a
transfer hand-off by providing refresher and targeted in-store training to you and your associates during the first few days of operation.
We provide additional ongoing support via our Toll Free Helpline when you find yourself with an issue and you need immediate assistance. We are
available via the telephone to answer technical and business metrics questions and will help guide you to the appropriate sources of information
for any need you have. Our Performance Coaches will visit your store periodically to measure your store's compliance with brand standards and
assist in assessing the store's visual presentation and operational standards. We also review your business metrics/financials and assist franchise
owners in building their local marketing skills.
